27 August 2008: Balkan Heights has been issued with Act 16 (Permit of Usage) by Bansko Municipality today, 27 August 2008. The final payment to the developer is due upon the issue of this certificate and we have contacted all buyers about that. Latest pictures are published in the Gallery.
15 August 2008: We have published for sale Varna building land of 53,572 sq m (13 acres). The land is 3 km from Golden Sands resort. Its prices are between 30 and 55 euros per square metre. For the purposes of comparison, building land in Golden Sands costs 1,000 euros per sq m.
07 August 2008: Construction has been completed at Elizabeth Court and Act 15 has been issued by Sozopol Municipality. There are new pictures in the Gallery. 10 July 2008: EasyJet will start flights between Manchester and Sofia on 11 December 2008. Here is a quick update on cheap airlines operating to Bulgaria:
22 June 2008: In a change to Bulgarian law, Russians who own a property in Bulgaria now have the right to receive a 3-year multiple-entry visa to Bulgaria. This will significantly add to demand for Bulgarian new build property.
18 June 2008: Prices at Victoria Villas on the Black Sea coast have been cut by 33% from 1,200 to 800 euros per square meter. This price only applies to Building 3D (which is already built) and Building 3C (above the restaurant). Studios with sea views are available at 26,624 euros. These discounted apartments are selling quickly.
17 June 2008: Aer Lingus has launched Ireland's first scheduled flights to Bulgaria with flights to Burgas beginning in mid-June. The service will operate seasonally. Also, starting October 26, 2008, Aer Lingus will operate direct, twice a week flights from Dublin to Sofia.
15 May 2008: Frommer's pick Bulgaria as top budget destination. Bulgaria is the only European country on the list.
19 April 2008: Britannia Investments received the Building Permit for Sophia Gardens from Sozopol Municipality on 26 February 2008. The construction will proceed according to the advertised schedule.
17 April 2008: Bulgarian mortgages and the credit crisis: are Bulgarian mortgages affected? Yes, but not as much as UK mortages.

18 February 2008: Balkan Ski Pods in Bansko are released for sale. This is an innovative development consisting of 28 apartments, that is attached to The Balkans development (sold out). The location is by the Tanne Hotel. 80 % LTV mortgages at 6.65% p.a. from Raiffeisen Bank are available on these apartments through Bulgarian Home Loans.
08 January 2008: Mortgages: Mortgage financing for off-plan property purchases are available from Raiffeisen Bank. These are arranged by Bulgarian Home Loans. 28 August 2007: Bank Guarantee for Balkan Place: The construction costs for Balkan Place being developed by Balkan Ski Chalets have today been underwritten by Raiffeisen Bank.
